Please read before purchasing. By completing your purchase you agree to these terms.
Serene Studio offers two licence types for Still Moments digital print collections — a personal residential licence and a commercial licence. The terms below apply to both unless specifically stated otherwise.
Who We Are
Serene Studio is a digital design brand operated by an individual creator based in the Netherlands. All products are digital downloads. For questions about these terms contact us at contact@serenestudio.nl.
What You Receive
Both personal and commercial licence holders receive the same six high-resolution JPG master files. The difference between licence types is the permitted use of those files as described below. Upon purchase you receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to download and use the digital files included in your order. Files are delivered as high-resolution JPG images at 300 DPI or above. You do not receive ownership of the artwork, copyright, or any intellectual property rights. Serene Studio retains full ownership of all original artwork.
What You May Do
Personal licence holders may: download and save the files to your personal devices, print the files for display in your own home or residential property, print as many copies as you wish for personal use, reprint the files at any time in the future — this licence never expires. This licence is granted to the purchasing individual and their immediate household only. One licence covers one residential address. Commercial licence holders may: download and save the files to your personal devices, print the files for display in the specific business location or property stated in their commercial licence agreement, print as many copies as required for the licensed space, use the files for the duration stated in their commercial licence agreement which is perpetual unless otherwise specified.
What You May Not Do
Under your licence you may not: sell, redistribute, sublicense or share the digital files with any third party, reproduce the artwork on physical or digital products for resale such as cards, merchandise, prints for sale, or POD products, claim the artwork as your own or remove any embedded metadata or watermarks, use the files in any AI training dataset or generative AI system, share, transfer, gift or distribute the files to any person outside the scope of your licence, whether digitally or physically, with or without payment, upload, post or make the files available on any file sharing platform, cloud storage service, social media platform or website in a form that allows third parties to download them. Neither personal nor commercial licence holders may use the files beyond the scope of their purchased licence. A personal licence holder may not use the files commercially. A commercial licence holder may not use the files at locations beyond those specified in their licence agreement.
Commercial Use
Commercial use of these files requires a separate commercial licence. Commercial licences are available for purchase directly at checkout or via the Commercial Licensing page at serenestudio.nl/commercial. Commercial licence tiers cover single business locations, Airbnb and rental operators, boutique hotels, interior designers and portfolio properties. Each commercial licence is issued with a signed licence agreement PDF specifying the permitted use, property address and licence reference number. Using a personal licence for commercial purposes constitutes a breach of these terms. Each file delivered contains embedded metadata identifying the original licence holder, which Serene Studio reserves the right to use in any enforcement action.
VAT and Invoicing
All personal licence prices displayed on serenestudio.nl are inclusive of VAT for buyers within the European Union. The applicable VAT rate is determined by the buyer's country of residence in accordance with EU VAT Directive 2006/112/EC and the One Stop Shop (OSS) scheme. For buyers outside the European Union, no VAT is charged. Commercial licence prices are displayed excluding VAT. VAT is added at checkout based on the buyer's business location. VAT-registered businesses within the EU may enter their VAT identification number at checkout to apply the reverse charge mechanism under Article 196 of the EU VAT Directive, in which case no VAT is charged and the buyer accounts for VAT in their own country. A VAT invoice is issued for every purchase — personal and commercial — and is included in the order confirmation email. Serene Studio is registered for VAT in the Netherlands.
Intellectual Property
All artwork, designs, brand assets and written content on serenestudio.nl are the intellectual property of Serene Studio and are protected under applicable copyright law including Dutch copyright law (Auteurswet) and EU Directive 2019/790 on copyright in the Digital Single Market. Unauthorised reproduction or distribution of any Serene Studio artwork is strictly prohibited.
Enforcement
Serene Studio actively monitors for unauthorised distribution of its digital files. Each file delivered contains embedded metadata identifying the original licence holder. Unauthorised redistribution or commercial use of these files constitutes copyright infringement under Dutch copyright law (Auteurswet) and EU Directive 2019/790 on copyright in the Digital Single Market. Serene Studio reserves the right to pursue claims for infringement including a minimum statutory claim of €500 per unauthorised copy distributed. If you believe you have received a Serene Studio file from a source other than serenestudio.nl, please contact us at contact@serenestudio.nl.
Refund Policy
Because our products are instant-download digital files, we are unable to offer refunds once the files have been accessed or downloaded. This is consistent with Article 16(m) of the EU Consumer Rights Directive which provides that the right of withdrawal does not apply to digital content that has been made available and where the consumer has given prior consent and acknowledged that the right of withdrawal is lost. If there is a technical issue with your files or you have not received your download link, please contact us at contact@serenestudio.nl within 7 days of purchase and we will resolve the issue promptly.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes arising from the use of this website or the purchase of digital products from Serene Studio shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of the Netherlands. If you are a consumer based in the EU you may also use the European Commission Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
Changes to These Terms
Serene Studio reserves the right to update these licence terms at any time. The current version will always be available at serenestudio.nl/licence. Continued use of the site after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
